Bangalore: The BJP has taken the Channapatna re-poll in a serious way, as H.D.Kumaraswamy is jumping into the frey, and told that whoever defeats HDK on a BJP ticket on April 4 poll, would be offered a minister’s post.
Whispers are heard in the lobby of the legislature on this issue. Prominent candidates seeking a BJP ticket are told by ministers that only a winning candidate would be given the ticket and that after he won, he would become a minister! BJP is likely to put up former MLA, CP Yogeshwar as the BJP nominee from Chennapatna, it is reliably learnt here.
The fact that HDK would resign his membership of Parliament, only to re-enter state politics, and that whoever defeated him, would be made a minister in Yeddyurappa Cabinet, has aroused lots of expectations, and a keen fight in the process.
