Mangalore : The election to the Mangalore City Corporation has given some interesting results.
Raghuveer, the BJP candidate from Panambur Bengre Ward no 11 has won by a margin of just eleven. Interestingly even his ward number is 11. Two other candidates who won by a low margin are Harish Shetty of BJP and Abdul Azeez of Kudroli. If Harish Shetty won against Keshav Sanil of Congress by a margin of just ten votes, Azeez from 43 Kudroli ward won against Samshuddin of Congress by an equal margin.
Bhasker K, the Congress candidate from 36 Padavu East Ward won by a biggest margin of 2739 votes against his BJP counterpart Anil Kumar who could get just 698 votes. Shashidhar Hegde, former mayor is another candidate who won by a highest margin. He won against Mohan Shetty of BJP by a margin of 1692 votes.
In Udupi : In Udupi, Vasanthi Shetty, BJP candidate of Ward No. 35 won by a margin of just nine votes against Sujatha Shetty of Congress. In Ward No. 14, Jyothi of Congress won by a margin of 16 votes.
In Udupi CMC, Prashanth Bhat of Congress won by a maximum margin of 770 votes against P Ramesh Nayak of BJP.
