Mangaluru: “Central government should formulate and picturise new laws to control the atrocities in the name of cow vigilance,” said state Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar.
Addressing a press conference at City Police Commissioner’s office on Friday, he said that death of a BJP party worker in Udupi was a shocking one. PM Narendra Modi’s opinion on cow vigilance is prais worthy.
Speaking on suspicion of coastal youth joining ISIS he said “police and internal security wing should stay alert with regard to this matter. Strict action will be taken against those individuals or organizations that help the youth to join ISIS.”
“I am completely ready for the abolition of older system of police. A committee has been formed to study the pay revision of police. Talks are going on with finance department regarding the same,” he said while speaking on police reforms.
Later, commenting on transfer of additional government teachers he said that it is left to the educational department whether to transfer on the basis of counseling or on the basis of students’ strength present at the school.
Police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar, SP Bhushan G Borase and others were present.
