Mysore: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dr. G. Parameshwar expressed his displeasure over media persons who approached him with mikes for recording his statements for their respective television channels, on his arrival to city this morning.
Dr. Parameshwar, who arrived late to the city, straight away started his padayatra along with Mysore-Kodagu MP candidate H. Vishwanath, MLAs Vasu and M.K. Somashekar and other party leaders without attending the party activists’ meeting organised at Alamma Convention Hall at Dewan’s Road. Seeing the presence of media persons, party activists started pushing Dr. Parameshwar to make space for themselves so that their faces too appeared with that of the KPCC President on TV and newspapers.
Miffed over being pushed around abruptly, Dr. Parameshwar started pushing away the camera persons that led to a minor scuffle between the party activists and media persons. It is also said that a camera lens belonging to one of the photographers was damaged. Later, the Congress activists continued with the padayatra.
