Mangalore : The Children’s Film Festival organised by the Department of Public Instructions, was inaugurated  at the Jyothi Theatre in Mangalore on November 26, Monday. Jnana Aithal winner of Zee TV Kannada dance contest declared open the festival.  A Short children’s film ‘Putanigala Party’ was screened on the occasion.

Speaking as a chief guest, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive officer Dr KN Vijayaprakash said  noble virtues should be inculcated in children in order to help them lead a life as good citizens.Charles D’Souza, Assistant Distribution Officer of Children’s Film Society, Deputy Director of Public Instructions Moses Jayashekhar, KA Dayanand, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shivaramaiah, Block Education Officer and others were present.Students of various schools were present at the screening of ‘Putanigala Party.’
