Udupi: It is a devout practice among local followers of the Hindu Ashta Math Gurus, to present loads of gifts(Hore Kanike) for various service performed at the Sri Krishna Math seer, young Vishwa Vallabh Tirtha, will have a new comer in his following from Christian people.

The Federation of Karnataka Christian Associations has decided to offer loads of presentations such as Vegetables, fruits and flowers on the ascension of Paryaya Peeth by the Sode math Seer, who takes it over from Laxmivara Swami of Sirur Math on January 18 in a Durbar at Rajangana.

The Hore Kanike of the Christian admirers will be presented on January 13, as decided at Udupi DCO in a meeting, revealed Denis D’Silva, convenor.

The procession carrying gifts to the Sode Math starts from Govinda Kalyan Mantapa at Jodukatte, and proceeds to Court Road, culminating at Car Street circle.
