Bangalore: Chief Minister Bookanakere Yeddyurappa today asserted that whoever conducts protest, rally, or demonstration however big a person he may be in politics(minister or MP), he and /or anybody else, would not be permitted to do that near Vidhana Soudha.
This warning was pointedly aimed at his former boss and ex CM, H.D.Kumaraswamy who had planned to conduct his fast unto death in front of Vidhan soudha from July 7, to seek a state enquiry in to allege illegal wealth possessed by Gowda family, as pointed out by BJP leaders in league recently.
CM told HDK to go to the Freedom [Park and do what he liked there, but not around Vidhana Soudha (legislature mansion). CM added that everyone had a democratic right to protest against the state for his/her demands and rights under the constitution. If Kumara swamy’s demands were within the legal parameters his (BJP) government would examine them, CM said.
To a tempting query from pressman, if he ?(CM)would visit the place of Dharna, and accept the memorandum, he stiffly refused to do so, but agreed to discuss the issues involved with HDK’s representatives who could come to him(CM). But no law should be violated, CM warned the opposite parties.
