Yeddyurappa was speaking at the Golden Jubilee Valedictory Ceremony of National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal held at Silver Jubilee Auditorium of NITK on August 13, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, he also said that the country has given best education to the students with various colleges; hence in turn we must contribute developmental work to the country.
The state has established industries and giant business firm and creates various job opportunities for the students. The people of Karnataka are proud of this institution. Further they must depend on the ability to develop this innovative technology, he informed.
CM Yeddyurappa also inaugurated Mega Hostel Complex for Boys and garlanded the statue of late Srinivas Mallya.
Honourable State Home Minister Dr VS Acharya, released the India Post Special covering having the design of NITK main Building on the occasion. He also said that Karnataka is said to have most proficient educational institution.
In this year budget, CM has sanctioned fund for the establishment of Research and Development Institution at Muddenahalli in an estimate cost of Rs 75 crore, he said.
He also lauded the effort of faculty for shaping the past, present and future of the students.
District in Charge minister Krishna J Palemar, said that NITK has gained famed all over the state. The college has given over 50 top students who have contributed immensely to the society.
The college has maintained environment, further if every students show interest to sow one sapling along wit their education, City can always remain green. The colleges taking donation from the students are common, but they must ensure to provide qualitative education in turn, he added.
