Mangalore: Mangalore Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh who has left for Hyderabad on a compulsory training, is all likely to be transferred and may not return to Mangalore as Commissioner.
According to Prathap Reddy, IGP Western Range, Singh is on a two-month long compulsory mid-career training programme including six week training at National Police Academy at Hyderabad and two week training at Cambridge University, Scotland.
Reddy will be the in-charge Commissioner during Singh’s absence. He however declined to comment on the rumours that Singh wilgbnbkl be transferred.
This development is after almost a month of the home stay attack in Mangalore by Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists. The State Women’s Commission report had squarely blamed the police for the attack.
