Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district reported 237 new corona cases and four deaths. Udupi district reported 109 corona cases on Saturday July 18.
As per the district health bulletin, as many as 109 patients were discharged on Saturday from Wenlock as well as private hospitals. As many as 23,096 have turned out negative, and 3,311 are positive till date. Out of these, 1,848 cases are currently active. As many as 1,387 persons have recovered and been discharged, and 75 deaths have occurred so far including four on Saturday. Twelve of the deceased out of the 75 are from other districts.
Among the four deceased were, a 74-year-old female from Puttur, 67 year old male, two females aged 49 and 61 from Mangaluru.
Udupi district reported 109 corona cases on Saturday July 18. Among 109 cases reported today include 63 men, 39 women and seven children. As many as 58 belong to Udupi taluk, 40 are from Kundapur and 11 from Karkala. Among the 109 cases, one each came from Mangaluru, Dubai and Davanagere, two from Bengaluru, 34 with ILI symptoms, five with SARI symptoms and the rest are primary contacts of earlier positive tested patients.
A total of 182 people are in isolation wards, including 50 fresh admissions on Saturday. Among the new admissions, one is a coronavirus suspect, 16 have SARI and 33 influenza-like illness.
As many as 1,270 people, including 31 on Saturday, have been discharged from isolation wards so far.
Kasaragod district reported 29 coronavirus cases on Saturday. All 24 infected with primary contacts.
