Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district reported five fresh coronavirus positive cases and Udupi district reported 21 new coronavirus positive cases reported on Sunday June 14,
On Sunday Seven patients discharged. Three males and two females including one child infected tested coronavirus positive.
The two females are pregnant. Three have come from Saudi Arabia, one is a Maharashtra returnee and the lone child has contracted the infection from P-4526, a 43-year-old man who came from Mumbai on May 19 to Udupi and later to Mangaluru after completing his quarantine period on June 6.
Coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada has risen to 276, currently cases active 122. As many as 153 patients have recovered and been discharged, and eight have died.
Udupi on Sunday reported 21 cases, in that 16 males and 5 females including two children. Eighteen of them Maharashtra returnees, one each have a travel history of coming from Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh and one patient who contracted the infection from P-5667 who was tested positive on June 8.
The total number of coronavirus cases in Udupi district are 1,025 at present, out of which 235 are active, 789 discharged, and one patient has died.
Karnataka reported 312 discharges versus 176 new confirmed cases of coronavirus on Sunday, June 14.
As on June 14, 176 new coronavirus cases, 312 discharges and five deaths have been reported, the health deaprtment said.
