Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district reported 66 new coronavirus cases and Udupi district reported 29 new cases on Friday.
The district tally risen to 31,721. Out of these, 583 cases are currently active. As many as 31 people were discharged on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 30,494.
A total of 354,166 samples have been tested. Out of which, 322,379 are negative. A total of 710 deaths have occured so far, including one on Friday.
More than 14,479 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 15,58,802 in fines have been collected by the authorities.
Udupi district reported 29 new cases on Friday.
The tally in the district has risen to 22,608, including 29 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 196 cases are currently active.
Total 24 patients were discharged on Friday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,225.
Over 239,172 samples have been tested so far, of which 216,564 have turned out negative. A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.
