Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada reported 293 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths, Udupi recorded 231 fresh cases. on Sunday October 4.

As per the state health bulletin,  the patients who died on Sunday were a male aged 73, and an 86-year-old female. Both of them had SARI and comorbidities.

In Dakshina Kannada so far recorded as many as 24,312 positive cases so far, out of which 5,599 are currently active. As many as 434 people were discharged from hospitals on Sunday, taking the total discharges in the district to 18,143.

Udupi District recorded 231 fresh cases. on Sunday October 4.  The coronavirus tally climbed to 18,020 with 231 fresh cases reported on Sunday.

Out of the total positive cases, 2,145 are currently active. As many as 59 patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday. The total number of discharges so far is 15,721.

A total of 154 people have died due to coronavirus so far in the district.

Kasaragod district, a total of 278 people have been tested positive for corona virus on Sunday, while the number of infected persons has increased to 12,269.
