Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada reported twenty-four coronavirus positive cases and Udupi district reported 121 coronavirus positive cases in Udupi on Saturday June 6.
Fifteen people have been discharged from the hospital on Saturday in Dakshina Kannada. As on today, the district has 65 active cases and 103 persons have recovered and been discharged. District had registered seven deaths so far.
In Dakshina Kannada, there are 17 males and seven females, including three children. Eleven are Maharashtra returnees, the source of infection of five people is yet to be traced, six people have come from Dubai, one person from Ukraine and Turkey and another one from Saudi Arabia.
Udupi district has reported 121 positive cases. Most of them have come from Maharashtra. Seventy-eight males and 43 females including 16 children tested positive. With these additions, Udupi emerged as the worst affected districts both in terms of active and total cases. The district has a total of 888 cases with 734 still being treated at the designated hospitals.
