Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district  reported 17 fresh coronavirus positive cases and 22 new cases were detected in Udupi on Friday June 12.

The 17 patients, 16 are males and one female. As many as 14 have come from Saudi Arabia, two are Maharashtra returnees and one is a Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) patient.

All of them have been admitted to the designated COVID hospital in the district.

In Udupi district 22 cases were reported on Friday. The patients are 14 males and eight females including four children.

Total 31 patients who recovered were discharged on Friday.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Udupi district are 990 at present, out of which 408 are active, 581 discharged, and one patient has died.
