Mangalore : Corporation Bank felicitated Shri M V Nair, Chairman & Managing Director, Union Bank of India,  Shri K R Kamath, Chairman & Managing Director of Punjab National Bank and M R Nayak, Executive Director, Allahabad at the New Millennium Building of Corporation Bank on December 18, Saturday.
The three were felicitated with a Mysore Peta, shawl, garland, fruit bouquet and memento.
Shri Ramnath Pradeep, Chairman & Managing Director, Corporation Bank welcomed the guests and gathering. He also said that, no banking industries have seen such a profit during the chairmanship of M V Nair and others.
He also said that this special function is organized to felicitate three fellow Bankers who started their career in Corporation Bank and excelled in their illustrious career, not only bringing glory to themselves but also to the institution which was instrumental in shaping their career path. These three Bankers par excellence, by their achievements have shown the qualities and abilities built in them and willingness to take up larger responsibilities of greater multitude to serve the banking and the society.
Replying to the felicitation, Shri M V Nair, Chairman & Managing Director, Union Bank of India thanked the gesture of Corporation Bank and said that it was like a Homecoming for him. He recalled his fond memories of working in the Bank.
The statement of Pradeep to make the bank from good to better and I hearty wish it to become better to best in future too.
In the 20-40’s many may not be there, but the corporation bank will be at the top and lead its position. ‘I consider myself as the representator of yourself in the banking industries’. The values learnt in this bank during the term will further work for representing the trust, he said.
Hard work is a must in any field and most of the time the reputation of the bank is built with the effort and hardwork of the team of staffs and manager.
Recalling the days during the chairmanship of Ram Moorthy, Nair said that the credit of building the image during his time goes only o him. The corporation bank has introduced the Incentives Scheme for decades.
The destiny has to help one to work in any field. Success is hardwork, team work and destiny and these three must be combined. Earlier public sector was very poor in technology and didn’t know how to sell. But in 2010, the public sector has proved it be wrong by getting 62 percent of profit, he informed.
