Mangalore: A protest rally was held at the DCO gates this evening by CPI(M) and its members to demand the resignation of Chief Minister, B.S.Yeddyurappa for his follies which have dragged him to courts with 5 cases registered against him with the sanction of state Governor.
The speakers at the rally said that CM Yeddyurappa had brought dishonour to himself and the state by his propensities towards property, money and favouritism shown to family members, causing huge losses to the state exchequer in the last 3 years of his power. He should have quit, the moment the Governor sanctioned his prosecution, and now no one could save him any more from legal procedures in courts.
Speakers included B. Madhava and K.R. Shriyan who explained the state political developments to the assembled people.
Those who attended the rally were Vasant Achary, Balakrishna Shetty, M.S.Ramani Mudabidire, Yadava Shetty and Sunil Kumar Bajal among others.
