Moodbidri : The variety of cultural programmes organised on day one of Alva’s Nudisiri, the national literary and cultural festival that was inaugurated at Moodbidri on November 16, Friday, left the audience spell bound by its sheer splendor and vibrancy. The cultural programmes were held simultaneously on five stages.
Sri Gopalkrishna Yakshagana Bombeyata Sangha of Kasargod presented a puppet show Narakasura Vadhe-Garudagarva at the Dr Koira N Balepuni dais. Prior to this, Nayanagowri presented a Harikathe Sri Subrahamanya Kshetra Mahatme.
The Ratnakaravarni Vedike saw Vande Mataram ballet by Kripa Padke and troupe, while Bharatanatya Vaibhava by Mayura Nritya Academy also equally attracted the audience. A Musical programme by well-known artistes Shanker Shanbogue, Rameshchandra, KS Sureksha also mesmerized audience.
A drama Abhijnana Shakuntala also won applause. Other platforms specially erected for the purpose also saw Kuchipudi dance, Bhakta Kanaka ballet and other cultural programmes.
