Mangaluru : The Dakshina Kannada reported 14 new corona positive cases on Sunday May 31.

The 14 cases in Dakshina Kannada, 9 are persons who returned recently from Maharashtra, three others are contacts of another patient P-2287, a resident of Kenjar who also arrived from Maharashtra a few days ago.

The Maharashtra returnees include seven males aged 27, 52, 44, 30, 40, 38 and 43, and two women aged 35 and 38.

Among the others are a 42-year-old male who arrived from Malaysia to the city, and a 50-year-old man who came from Doha.

All of them have been admitted to Wenlock hospital. T he total number of cases so far in Dakshina Kannada has risen to 127.

In Udupi 10 new corona positive cases reported on Sunday,  9 returned from Maharashtra recently, and one from Doha, Qatar. The patients include eight males aged 30, 32, 62, 24, 31, 36 and 45, a seven-year-old girl, and two women aged 31 and 42. Among them, the 31-year-old man Doha.

Total number of active cases in Udupi has risen to 122.
