Mangalore : Konaje police have apprehended four persons for damaging the banner of Gujarat CM and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi at Mudipu junction recently. The four had even set the banner ablaze
The arrested four persons are Mohammad Azwin, Nawaz, Ziyad and Rahim. All of them are said to be residents of Mudipu.
The incident had taken place on September 18 after the four quarreled with a tempo driver named Abdul Rahiman near Mulur. Later they attacked the tempo and the driver and also stoned a bus. Then they torched the banner.
Another case of damaging Modi banner was also reported from Gurupur but it is not yet known if the four arrested are responsible for the same.
The arrests were made at Nandarapaddu. It is said the accused had fled to Kerala after the incident.
