New Delhi: When over a 1000 crores have been mis-spent or misappropriated by powerful sports officials and Congressmen at that, thrice Delhi CM Sheila Dixit has made it a point to punish the guilty when they are found. People are accusing Sheila D. herself as the powerful person behind CWG and stadium-building work (12 of them) in less than 50 days. If  Kalmady cannot be arrested and put behind the bars, whom is she trusting to complete the dozen stadia? Is it Singapore or South Africans?
She, however, begged Delhi people to pardon her for the garbage piles all over the city in a rainy season and when several works are still pending to be completed. She is aware of the rasping criticism heard around and about her. She hoped to find who was responsible for delays and exorbitant costs so far in CWG work orders.
They could be CG (Union Govt) officials or anybody for that matter for the CWG contracts incomplete, she would hunt them down. She has realized that in the last 3 to 4 months’ time Delhi citizens have undergone a lot of suffering due to mass developmental works related to CWG, she said. He sent out a call to Delhi people to co-operate with the Govt, at this juncture.
She held out a golden dream before them that the CWG in Delhi was the finest in history and it would turn out that way.
All disputed works were sentenced to get completed by contractors by August 31, 2010. people were getting uneasy because of air pollution (dust and rubbish at sites) all these months. 500 factories across Jumna river were ecology polluters. Ms. Sheila Dixit has ordered to reduce pollution and she is hard pressed for a clean Delhi in 15 days.
