Mangalore : B Ramanatha Rai, State Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment and DK District in-charge minister, led a delegation of Congress leaders from the district to the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on June 11, Tuesday and urged the Chief Minister to provide adequate compensation and rehabilitation facilities to the families affected by the LPG Tanker Tragedy that took place at Perne near Uppinangady some time back.
The delegation urged the CM to provide compensation from his relief fund. Siddaramaiah who accepted the memorandum assured to do the needful and ensure justice to the affected families.
Among others who were present on the occasion included State Urban Development Minister Vinaykumar Sorake, Puttur Legislator Shakuntala Shetty, Congress leaders Umanath Shetty, Sunder Shetty, BH Khader, GP member Tulajaksha Shetty and ZP member Prakash Shetty.
