Mangaluru: The new ACP office, 16 police constable and Panambur police station quarters were inaugurated by Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar, on Friday at Panambur.
Speaking on the occasion he said that police department needs co-operation of people to perform the duties. As the police department is considered as a major asset of the government, people friendly and technically sound police stations will be constructed soon.
“For the maintenance of the police station Rs 1 lakh will be sanctioned every year. Each flat have been constructed at the cost of Rs 16 lakh. A report has been made to increase the salary and the allowance of the police personnel,” he said.
He further said that risk allowance has been increased to Rs 1000, conveyance allowance has been increased to Rs 600 and uniform allowance has been increased Rs 500 from Rs 100. The total allowance Rs 2100 has been increased to each personnel.
District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai, MLA Mohiudhin Bava, Abhaychandra Jain, MLC Ivan D’Souza and others were present.
