Mangalore : Renowned medical writer and gynecologist Dr. Rathidevi was felicitated at a special felicitation programme held at Town Hall on September 26, Sunday for her contribution tot eh society.

Speaking on the occasion, Vaidya Rathna Award winner Dr. Rathidevi said that increase in the number of cesarean deliveries is due to modernization and innovative examination methods in the present days.
Muzrai Minister Krishna J. Palemar inaugurated the felicitation ceremony, while MLA Yogish Bhat  released the volume “Meru” on the occasion.
Palemar said that he will recommend Dr. Rathidevi for the Rajyothsava Award; and MLA Yogish Bhat appreciated her service and contributions to society.
H. S. Ballal, the pro vice chancellor of KMC, released “Sahaja Herige Mattu Cesarean Herige,” written by the doctor and printed in her own handwriting.
Harikrishna Punaroor, Mayor Rajani Dugganna, and Pradeep Kumar Kalkura were present.
