Mangaluru :  Dakshina Kannada ZillaPanchayath had identified list of needy families who have suffered most due to the crisis created during the Covid-19 lockdown. These families belong to 5 Hobalies of the district namely Mangaluru-B, Gurupura, Surathkal, Moolki and Moodabidre.

Major industry of Dakshina Kannada, MRPL ( Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd) has sponsored grocery kit comprising of Boiled rice, thoor dal, rava, Sugar and Tea to these needy families.

Thousands of Migrants and destitute get food from MRPL CSR

For thousands of Migrant laborers, destitute and helpless families rice sponsored by MRPL( Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd) through its CSR fund is proving to be a vital help during the Covid-19 crisis. Sudden imposition of lockdown had put thousands of people including migrant laborers and destitute in the district to hunger and helpless situation. MRPL through district administration of Dakshina Kannada has sponsored 50,000 Kg rice for the benefit of these needy citizens.
