Mangalore : The Father Muller Charitable Institutions will be celebrating the Death Centenary of its founder Rev Fr Augustus Muller SJ at Academy Hall on November 1, said Rev Fr Denis D’Sa, Administrator of FMCI.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on October 28, Thursday, he said that
FMCI will also hold the Memorial Oration of Rev Fr Augustus Muller SJ will be held on November 2 at Academy Hall of FMCI.
As a part of the celebrations, a newly built Hi-tech Laundry and Father Muller Museum will be inaugurated and also foundation stone laying ceremony will be held on November 1, he added.
Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, will be the chief guest while Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore and Chairman of FMCI will preside over the function.
Prof P Balaram, Director of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore will deliver the oration on Nov 2. The theme of oration is Science and Medicine-Building a Research Interface in India. Rev Dr Denzil Lobo SJ, Director of St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology will participate as the guest of honour.
