Mangalore : Fr. Muller Medical College (FMMC) elected its students council for the present academic year with “Solaris,” the 1-week inter-batch FMMC cultural event, at the academy hall of the college on Oct 16, Saturday.
Mr Alok Mohan, IGP of western range, participated as the chief guest on the occasion and said that the students’ council has responsible role to play in the society.
It is important to develop communication skills among leaders and inculcate the leadership qualities by practical experience and not just read in books, he said.
Dr. B. Sanjeev Rai, the medical services chief, read out an appreciation letters to the previous year office bearers of the students’ council for their services.
Fr. Patrick Rodrigues, Director of FMCI in his presidential address said that new office bearers must give their primary importance to God to achieve the motto.
President Roshan Iqbal, Vice President Betsy Ann Thomas, Secretary Shweta Shanbaug, and Joint Secretary Janet Jason Varghese, along with other members of the students’ council took their oaths.
