Mangalore : District Health officer OR Rangappa out lined the state Governments communiqué in a press brief held at District Health and Family welfare office on 03rd June 2013.
State government held a meeting of Health and social welfare minister, Principle Secretaries on 29-05,2013 regarding the precautionary measures to be taken on contagious diseases in the entire state.
On the basis of the circular, all district health officers, Taluk Medical Stafs, Doctors and District Implementation officials held a meeting on 1st June 2013 and discussed the community information programme, warning and control of the diseases. Taluk level peoples representatives, Taluk Panchayth officers, CDPO, BEO’s meeting were held.
On the model of community health day from 03-06-2013 the meeting will be conducted about the communicable diseases involving peoples representatives, Religious leaders, woman and child development officials. Education department staff will discuss about the diseases and health officials will assist them in giving guidance.
From 10-06-2013 to 15-06-2013 a special awareness week will be held and door to door visit will be conducted.
All private doctors, chief of Universities will be summoned to the meeting and will be requested to look into all suspected cases of Dengue fever and other diseases.
Officials of the primary health centre of the rural area will be briefed about the programme to be implemented without any hitch.
Month long Anti-Malaria campaign will be conducted from June 1st to June 30th he added.
