Mangalore : Hindu Jagarana Vedike leader Satyajith Suratkal condemn the act of criticizing by the congress leaders and organization against the Anti-Naxal Force police for gunning down cattle transporter Kabeer near Shringeri.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on April 22, Tuesday, he said that the government’s decision of compensating Kabir’s family with Rs 5 lakh would demoralize the Anti-Naxal Force.

He also criticized Mangalore North MLA Moidin Bava for holding the press meet defending the cattle trafficking and protecting the cattle transporter rather than condemning the act of cattle smuggling.

Satyajith informed that during the shootout, Kabir was carrying over 20 cows in the cattle transporters vehicle, while the rule was to transport only two cows at a time. Hence government must withdraw the decision of providing compensation of Rs 5 lakhs to the family of Kabeer until the CID probe is completed.

Vedike leaders Sharan Pumpwell, Kishore, Subhash Padil and Raviraj were also present.
