Mangalore: Urging business companies to fulfil their social commitments and perform their responsibilities to promote a healthy social living system, DK Ports minister Krishna Palemar called upon entrepreneurs not to lose sight of society while running their trades and daily deals.
He spoke at ‘Tejodiya’(Glowing lamp) programme after inaugurating it, conducted by G.T. Foundation on Tuesday at the Town Hall.
He praised Mg.Trustee Dr.V. Ravichandran for his Zeal in honouring achievers, offering assistance to NGOs, and adding grace to cultural events in the coastal region every year through such programmes since long, in an exemplary manner.
Corp Bank MD Ajai Kumar and IOB GM K.V. Krishnan were honoured on the occasion, for their sustained efforts to develop local economy. Dr. M. Prabhakar Joshi and Dr. M. Vaman Nandavar made laudatory speeches.

The GT Foundation has honoured special Olympics(disabled) winners of sports events, built classrooms for Neerumarga Navchetan high school and provided computer keyboards to blind students of R.C. Lobo Children’s school in 2011.
