Bangalore : Angered over a charge of corruption against his family by the ruling BJP, former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy Saturday sat on an indefinite fast from Saturday demanding a CBI probe into the allegations. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has alleged that Kumaraswamy’s family members have made about Rs 1,500 crore by corrupt means. Kumaraswamy, who is son of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, began his fast at the Freedom Park here. The demand for a CBI probe into one’s own family wealth is unique. Kumaraswamy had earlier led an agitation against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa over the land scam in the state.
