Mangalore : The Hindu Jagarana Vedike has demanded a CBI probe into Sowjanya rape and murder case.

Satyajith Suratkal, Convenor of the Vedike said the probe should be under the surveillance of the court as there is a possibility of the  authorities misguiding the CBI.

He also alleged that the case could not be solved until now owing to pressure from various corners.

At the same time he said his organization was against attempts to tarnish the image of the Dharmasthala kshetra.
