Mangaluru: “By election is nearing in Mysuru. Opposition party leaders have already started their campaigning process. CM Siddaramaiah should take everyone into consideration to face the election,” said former union minister Janardhan Poojary.
Addressing the press personnel at Mangaluru Press Club on Thursday, he said that if the opposition parties decide to enter into the election jointly then there is threat of losing the seat and that may lead to the resignation of CM Siddaramaiah as Chief Minister.
“Siddaramaiah should work towards saving the party’s existence in the state. Devegowda has already said that JDS will support Shrinivas Prasad if he competes as an independent candidate. Whoever may be the candidate from Congress, he should win the election or else CM should resign to his post,” he said.
He further said that In Uttar Pradeshm Mulayam Sigh Yadav is worries about his party’s present situation. But here Siddaramaiah hasn’t waked up from sleep.
Siddaramaiah is also free to organise ‘Ratha Yatra’, if it is favourable to the party.
Congress leaders Arun Coelho, Kallige Taranath Shetty and others were present.
