Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has reacted to the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s statement on revoking the ban on Hijab enforced by the erstwhile BJP government.

He said the government has brought the Hijab issue to the forefront just to hide its failures. He said it was not proper for the CM to issue a statement when the matter is before the court.

If Hijab returns, then even saffron too will return, then there will be confusion and difference of opinion in educational institutions. The government move is only aimed at appeasing minorities for the sake of vote bank politics, he alleged.
