Urva Police arrests two in murder of Mescom employee

Mescom engineer Killers Mangalore : Urva police on Monday October 6 arrested two persons in connection with the murder of Mescom engineer on September 21.

The arrested are identified as Siddappa (22) alias Siddu, resident of Ilangovan Koppa, Soudathi taluk, Belgaum and Rafiq (27), resident of Sayed Fir street, Nitoli, Davanagere.

Speaking at the press meet, Police commissioner R Hitendra said that, he police had seized a gold chain, revolver, 16 rounds bullet and Rs 5000 cash from the accused.

During the interrogation accused revealed that, they had part of the gold in various finances. They have also said to be involved in various crimes and are charged case in various police stations under Barke, Urva and Kadri station limits. It is also learnt that, they were also accused in the murder an old lady at Alake on August 1.

Commissioner said that the police will also seize gold kept in finance organizations very soon.

Mescom engineer Killers Speaking on another case, commissioner said that team of Mangalore Kadri police station under the guidance of inspector T D Nagaraj, PSI Rafiq and H S Bajantri, arrested five individuals from near National Highway Maroli Jodukatte who were plotting to loot at around 3:30 am.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammad Azim alais Dilwale (23), resident of Farngipate, Pudu village, Ahamed Sadik (19) alias Sadik, resident of Katipalla, Nisar Husain (23) Katipalla, Hasanabba alias Naushad (23) and Y Shashidar (30), resident of Tergase Kundapur.

Police also seized an Alto, a Ritz, lethal weapons, two chilly powder packets, four mobile phones and Rs 12,750 in cash from the accused.

The arrest was made after police received information that two cars were parked on the highway. During inquiry, it was revealed that those were involved in three looting cases in the area coming under the Mangalore Kadri police station limits, another in Uppinangady near Udane, two cases at Sharidi, under the Shakleshpur police station limits.

It is learnt that the accused used rented cars and lethal weapons to loot lorry drivers and conductors by threatening and attacking them.
