Guang-Zhou (China): First, Gold and no Silver on Thursday, won for India. Our own Ashwini Chidanand from Kundapura taluk and India, won a gold in 400 metres hurdle racing event.
She has done it again, as she had won gold in Commonwealth Games at Delhi and was rewarded Rs.15 lakhs from Railways Minister. She works in Railways (South Central Zone).

Mausam (Punjab) beat South Korean J. Kim by 3-1 in a Bronze Medal play – off in Wrestling.
Two Indian male wrestlers, Ravinder Singh (60 kg class) and Sunil Kumar (66 kg) won Bronze Medals in Greco – Roman category.
One more Bronze Medal came to India in Hockey against holders South Korea, with a solitary field goal by Tushar Khandekar of Pune, in Asian Hockey.
At the end of Thursday, Indian tally was 2 Gold, no Silver and 3 Bronze Medals. The Overall position is 9 Gold, 13 silver and 29 Bronze Medals for India on 10th day.
