Mangaluru: As per the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Janata Curfew on Sunday, March 22 the residents of the Dakshina Kannada not come outh street to support his call.
All establishments were shut and few vehicles were seen moving across the city.
The main part of the city Hampankatta clock tower seen empty road and no vehicles.
Trucks were seen parked in large numbers at Kulur and Panambur. Railway stations in the city too were empty.
Police personnel were seen in many parts of the city to prevent any untoward incidents during the Janata Curfew. Many organisations had called for a protest on this day against the Citizenship Amendment Act, National Register of Citizens and National Population Register.
