Mangalore : JR Lobo, former bureaucrat and the Congress candidate from Mangalore South filed his nomination at the election office at MCC building on April 15, Monday. Several Congress leaders including Suresh Ballal, Ivan D’Souza, K Ashraf, Naveen D’Souza and others were present.
Earlier, Lobo visited the Bishop Rev Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza at Bishop House and sought his blessings. He later even visited Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple and offered special prayers to the Lord. UT Khader, the Congress candidate from Mangalore constituency, was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Lobo said if elected he would strive to ensure development of the region. He said the congress need to be voted to power for a corruption free rule.
The Congress candidate went in a padayatra to the MCC office and filed his nomination.
