Mangalore : ‘Vijaya Karnataka’s ‘Sudhakar Yermal and Wilfred D’Souza of ‘TV9’ received the first prizes in the ‘Krishna Vesha photography and videography competition-2010’ respectively at Press Club on August 19, Friday.

M Narendra, Chairman and Managing Director, Indian Overseas Bank handed over the prizes to the winners of the competition organized by Kalkura Pratisthana for photographers and videographers.

Dharanesh of Konaje and Reshma of KPN bagged the second and third prizes respectively in the photography category, while GK Hegde of ‘Vijaya Karnataka’ Sampath Kumar Kuttethur and Apul Ira Kinnimajalu received consolation prizes.

Shivaprasad and Prasanna Poojary received second and third prizes respectively in videography category.

Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, President of Pratishthan said that this year too, the photography and videography contests will be held on August 21 at Kadri Temple during ‘Krishna Vesha Competition’.

Those interested can send their photos of the competition in 6” X 9” size and videos of 10 minutes to Kalkura Pratisthana, Shri Krishna Complex, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Kodialbail, Mangalore 575003 before September 5, he added.
