Bantwal : Two different community persons stabbed in an communal clash once again at communal sensitive area Kalladka on Tuesday, June 13.

Hindu Jagarana vedike district president Ratnakar Shetty and Khaleel, son of Abusali, was  stabbed in the incident and admitted to the private hospital.

Several shops were shut down and vehicles damaged following stone-pelting was reported.

It is said,  more than 50 members gang damaged vehicles and shops at Panchavati complex in Kalladka. They also pelted stones at the police.

Ratnakar Shetty has been admitted to a hospital in Puttur while Khaleel has been admitted to Thumbay hospital, it is gathered.

The prohibitory orders  in action over the last 15 days after the stabbing incident on May 26.

The police have deployed tight security across Bantwal taluk. Vehicular movement on the highway was affected for sometime.

Dakshina Kannada SP Bhushan G Borase and other police officers arrived at Kalladka and brought the situation under control.
