Bangalore: Since CBI and Supreme Court were keenly looking into 2 G Spectrum mess and other (CWG / Adarsh Buildings) scandals promoted by UPA govts, in the last 5 to 6 years, Karnataka Congress cautioned NDA (led by BJP) nor local BJP rulers had the right to criticize the Central govt at present.
Congress spokesman and former speaker B.L Shankar told media persons that the accusations made by BJP against UPA (by holding up a whole Parliamentary session) were far from the truth and not proved yet. The figure of loss estimated by CAG was provisional and concerned authorities had to check up.
Revenue sharing formula had been introduced by NDA and not by Congress (UPA) government, Shankar clarified. It was NDA that extended the licence in spectrum sales from 10 to 20 years at a stretch without re-tendering, causing a loss of 1.46 lakh crores of rupees loss to the ex chequer, he pointed out.
In both CWG and Adarsh housing scams, concerned persons S. Kalmadi and Ashok Chavan have gone out and probe is continuing, BLS told the reporters.
