Karnataka has emerged from struggle and sacrifices

Gadag : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that Karnataka has emerged from struggle and sacrifices. Kannada should be deeply rooted in this state.

He was speaking after inaugurating the “Karnataka Celebration-50” at Gadag .

The CM remembered KH Patil and all the others who fought for the name Karnataka.

KH Patil then, HK Patil today. I am sitting in the Chief Minister’s chair on which Devaraja Arasu was sitting. The CM said that this is not a coincidence.

500 years before Shakespeare wrote literature in English, world’s greatest literary works were written in Kannada. He exemplified the greatness of the Kannada language by saying that everyone from Pampa to Vachankaras had created the greatest literature.

The atmosphere of leading life in Karnataka without learning Kannada should be changed. Kannada and its culture should be rooted in all of us. The CM said that only then the Kannada atmosphere will be spread across the state.

Kannada’s culture also includes the Kayaka culture of Basavadi Sharanas. Our aim is to build a classless, casteless society and develop this society as per Basavanna’s wish. Therefore we have introduced guarantee programmes that elevate the life of people belonging to all castes and religions, the CM said.

K.H Patil gave drinking water to the entire district back then. His son H.K Patil has also given good programmes to the entire state. Therefore, it is enough to submit the nomination papers, you all have to make H.K Patil win. Being a man who has worked so much for the entire state, he should not ask for votes. The CM called upon the people to vote for H.K.Patil.

61 crores provided to the twin cities: will provide additional funds if required

Rs. 61 crores has already been provided for drinking water system of Gadag-Betageri twin cities. The CM assured that our government is ready to provide additional funds if required.

Minister for Tourism and District Incharge Minister Dr.H.K.Patil presided over the programme which was jointly organized by Kannada and Culture Department, Tourism Department and Gadag District Administration.

DCM D.K.Shivakumar, Speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly U.T.Khader, Speaker of Legislative Council Basavaraja Horatti, Ministers Shivaraj Tangadagi, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Bairathi Suresh, Mankala Vaidya, Sharana Prakash Patil, Shivananadan Patil, Chief Whip , Legislative Councli Salim Ahmed MLAs, secretaries and officers were present.
