Bantwal : A lecturer ended his life by hanging him self on Monday late night for false allegations were made by the girl a year back.

The deceased, Harish Acharya from Bantwal, had been a lecturer in Kannada at Raymond’s College in Vamanjoor. He had been absconding since the incident.A sexual harassment case was registered against Harish Acharya.

The students of the college staged a protest against the girl for false allegations. The lecturers also conducted an inquiry and she was found guilty and was asked to write an apology letter.

Harish was depressed after the complaint was lodged. He had also taken treatment at Manipal hospital. On Monday, he took the extreme step when nobody in the house.

sources said, Harish was unmarried and lived with his brother at Kalladka.

Bantwal police rushed to the spot and registered a case.
