Mangalore, Nov 15: The Lokayukta officers of Karwar, Udupi and Mangalore conducted the raid on Mangalore Regional Transport Office on November 15, Monday.

Acting on the complaint filed by Ashok, the officers conducted the raid at 5.30 pm and arrested second division clerk of RTO office Yogish and Prabhakar and their private agents Keshav Pai, Nagaraj, Raghunath and Santhosh. In all Rs 67,640 was seized. Apart from it some of them had hidden the currency notes in the dustbin.

The raid was conducted under the leadership of Lokayukta SP Jagamayyanavar, Udupi Dy SP Prabhudev Mane and Inspector Udaya Nayak.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Jagamayyanavar said that legal action will be taken against the victims.
Around 25 Lokayukta staffs participated in the operation.
