Udupi : The 513th branch of Karnataka Bank was inaugurated a Manipal on December 10, Monday by T Satish U Pai, Managing Director of Manipal Media Netwoirk Ltd.

Addressing a function held ai this connection at the RSB Auditorium, P Jayaram Bhat, Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank said the Bank never believed in destructive or cut-throat completion but only gave importance to a healthy contest in the banking sector.

He said the bank was proud to  open a branch in Manipal and added the total business of the bank was targeted at Rs one lakh crore in March 2015. He said the total number of branches of the bank will rise to 550 this year end while the number of ATMs would be increased to 450.

Dr HS Ballal, Pro-Chancellor of Manipal University,  Dr Rammohan Rao, Director of Karnataka Bank NS Mahabaleshwara Bhat, General Manager,   Shobha Rao, Senior Manager in the Bank’s  Founder’s Branch in Mangalore and others were present.

 B Upendra Nayak, President of Rajapura  Saraswatha Brahmana Sangha, was honoured on the occasion.
