Bangalore: Even specialty hospitals are closing down, unable to find customers in large numbers and due to increasing bank debts. One such hospital managed by Manipal authorities in Bangalore, so far maintained as a prestigious specialty hospital but without enough patients, is in monetary problems that force its closure for good sooner than you think.
The hospital belonging to KMC group of Manipal in Rajarajeshwari Nagar on Kenchanahalli main road, is facing economic difficulties and cannot continue says a publication on its notice board this week.
The hospital ran, after new Govts, were formed in state. The process of transferring the medical staff to other Manipal units has already begun. Some of the employees have been given quit notices as well.
The 120-bed Manipal hospital here is one of the well-equipped hospitals in city and over 50 medical experts were functioning there.
There other hospitals are in Malleswaram, Jayanagar and HAL airport road. Several hospital in and around Manipal hospital in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar were behind the latter’s decline and possible death.
The Hospital spokesman pointed out that state Govt. never provided any facility to manage the hospital in a distress, and the closure had to be the way out losses made so far.
