Belthangady; DK Minister in-charge, Krishna Palemar visited Taluk office and various departments here in a surprise check on Friday, and demanded (that) the employees clear the files on their table in a 15 days or face disciplinary action if they delayed clearance.
He warned them against rampant corruption and laziness in clearing pending works. A few files were 4 months old, so he said they should go out immediately.
The minister went to Sub-registrar’s office, Nemmadi Kendra (Contentment Centre), and harti culture department, to take the employees to task there by suspension or criminal case against them.
He wanted DK dt. to be the model in state, in its efficiency and work ethics. The government had released 25 lakhs to Mangalore Taluk Office to create a record room. Belthangady also will be given such facilities. The Nemmadi Kendras will be taken over in October next by government, Palemar indicated.
