Mangalore : N Prakash has been re-transferred to Dakshina Kannada as its Deputy Commissioner. He will be replacing  Harsh Gupta as the Deputy Commissioner. Prakash, a KAS promotee was appointed DC of DK just three months ago, and as per the orders of the Election Commission, he was replaced by Harsh Gupta an IAS officer.

A total of 21 KAS promotes had been transferred  prior to the elections. However they had moved the KAT questioning their transfer. Meanwhile, the Election Commission too had moved the High Court. But the Court had directed that the transferred officers be re-transferred to the respective posts.

Accordingly, Prakash will be back in DK as its Deputy Commissioner and Harsh Gupta will be re-transferred to Bangalore as Labour Commissioner.
