Mangalore : N Prakash is once again the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada. He took charge on May 14, Tuesday evening. Prakash was transferred to Bangalore prior to the Assembly elections as per the orders of the Election Commission.

However, now as per  the court orders all the 21 KAS promotes who served as DCs   will be reposted to their original positions. Accordingly, even Prakash has been sent back to Mangalore to take charge as DC.

The outgoing DC Harsh Gupta will take charge as Labour Commissioner of Bangalore, a post he had held before taking charge as DC of Dakshina Kannada.

DC Prakash was welcomed by  additional DC Dayanand, MCC Commissioner Harish Kumar and other officials. He also held   talks with senior officials.
