Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district Celebrated Nagarapanchami with Covid guidelines on Friday, August 13th.
Kudupu Ananthapadmanabha temple in Mangalore also Celebrated Nagarapanchami in a simple way. Devotees are seen offering their prayers outside the gates.
The special “Alankara” made to Lord Ananthapadmanabha comprised sandal and turmeric paste, locally grown flowers.
Devotees offered pujas at “Naga banas” to the serpent god.
Nagarapanchami also celebrated Kuke Subrahmanyeshwara temple at Subrahmanya, Manjeshwar Lord Ananthehwara temple , Mangaladevi Temple and Sharavu Temple.
Nagara Panchami Festival is one of the auspicious day for Hindus. The serpents are associated with many Gods in the Hindu mythology.
The district administration has already stated that large gatherings will not be allowed during the festivals in the wake of the rising Covid-19 cases in the district.
